Hey Have you ever noticed this
If u charge a girl for her fault, the outcome would be U will be labelled Fighter one who always fight and quarrel. But for the same reason, she will charge you with being at fault and irresponsible.
Ex: I once was admonishing a girl-fren for forgetting my Bday and not wishing me. She gave me all sorts of excuse like she was not well, etc and rather asked why didnt i ask her inquiring about her health instead!!! When i persisted she labelled me as quarrelsome.
After some days , her Bday came and i forgot the day, because i was really sick and had exams and all. Then she charged me about not remembering her Bday, not wishing her and paid no heed to my genuine excuses. Suddenly i became one irresponsible guy..

So the point is Girls are very good at excuses...

They are also good at Fabricating..
Ex: My GF was waiting at a Joint for me to join her and have coffee. I got late by 10 minutes...when i reached there, she started cribbing like why was i late? That she was very worried (But never ringed me to inquire!!), and aske me why didnt i call her instead!!
The other day i was made to wait by her...even by 30 minutes !After reaching she blamed and started giving lot of excuses..pretty lame..Traffic etc. when i probed deeper, she wanted to avoid the topic by saying lets talk something else and not waste talking these!!My 30 minutes was valueless..Rather she charged me , i could have ring her and inquired!!!

They always take credit for something good and blame others for bad.
Ex: Once at home we decided to have Pizza. I thought of getting it from Pizza hut but My sis said to get it from KFC..Finally KFC Pizza was brought and everybody liked the yummmy pizza. My sis took credit for it saying that she gave the idea for KFC while all were saying it to get it from Pizza hut!!!
Once my sis was making a Curry. she applied more salt. The taste was horrible. But she blamed it on..can u guess?? On Annapurna salt was replaced by Thomas cook salt that month withour her knowledge, so she applied it more. so it was not her fault but change in brand of salt which affected the taste...
How willy!!!

Hey now i know...how painful it is to be born on one fine day called Bday..In iba u should dread that day like me..after 48 hours also i feel the pain when i try to sit...How dreadful it is for my roomie..who had to bear the burnt...since then he is down with fever... Is it Bday bumps or bombs i now say it is Bday Batista Bombs..people wearing sports shoes and running from a distance and taking a full swing then hittin u..oouuch it really hurts..Atleast we can find a new way of celebrating..Amongst all these is what is called FUN...UNADULTERATED FUN....

Birthday Celebration : A backgrounderPre 0000HRS, whole batch assembles near messDot 0000HRS, Cake is cut.Then he/she is lifted to get Bday Bumps...(innumerable!!)Poured Colas..Lifted and thrown in the small pondif lucky, his roomie gets a good Bday bumpsApart from this Public appearance ..privately..Boozing, eating out....The list goes on..Bday r very much public thanks to the Intranet web page where Bday pop ups pops out!!!Bday in IBA has a special significance and memorable experience...cheers to the camaderie developed during the competition at IBA....

Hey Folks,The Red lettered Day of our Life at IBA... The Ultimate reason we are here toiling hard, sustaining pressure...the end goal..ya The Placement Season has started!!!I hinted it was to start by Oct 15 but it was not to be...It started much earlier...Yesterday we were dropped a Bomb saying Zee telefilms is coming for Palcements at 4.35PM. At 5.35 we were briefed about the Job Profile, (Which was wrong!!!we discovered it today), still cluless about Package, Job designation etc. Neways we had Lot of things to so i prefered not to research about the company...people were googling on Zee till 5 in the morning.ok the moment came calling at 3 in the afternoon..i had to iron my clothes and wear it hot and scoot to the Audi. And suddenly that HR guy told that he is here only to scout Girls!!! Guys can wait till 28 th when he will come with his VP sales for final interview...What a shock for lot of guys!!! He didnt disclose the PAckage...and had shortlisted 10 gals for that. He interviewed those 10 gals and still didnt disclose the package...SOme issues ...bcoz he didnt disclose the package..some shortlisted gals backed out from sitting for the interview. Bcoz as per CRDT rule one gets only 2 chance to sit for interview. So one has to be very careful and choosy and pick those 2 companies which fit his or her wish and wants..But These gals were forced to sit for the interview or lose their one chance...and they had to ...Reasons given was if u dont sit for them then it carries a bad impression and they wont come next time... But let it be... Its high time we started dictating terms to Corporates not the other way...Let there be a minimum Package and no corporate offering below that package be entertained in IBA...Booming Market, Scarcity of Mgt people and 5 yrs of existence coupled with good track record of IBA Alumni in corporates gives enough reasons to dictate terms to corporates....So in a way..first company and first placement experience was mixed bag stuff...Hopefully we and next batches get a bettter deal....

Sometimes when i look back i just think whether i made the right decision in choosing IBA as B -School?And i always get the answer... Yes I did..peole argue about other ivy-league schools but at the end of the day it is what u make out of the oppurtunities and move on... Almost all B-Schools at the top r more or less same in terms of oppurtunities, it is the students who make a difference.What strikes me in IBA apart from the soporific environment, away from the rush and noise of city, is a MINI-India...yes the diversity of student population is like pan-indian. Almost all state have a presence in IBA. Apart from the regional diversity Academic Diversity is also noticeable. Hotel Mgt to Stats to Arts to Pharma .... You name it .So no wonder every festival is celebrated with equal intensity and fervour. Onam this year was no different. Folks from Kerala had put herculean effort to realise todays event. The whole campus was decorated with flowers. Ethenic Dress Competition evoked lot of exciting responses from people out here.. Sumptuous lunch was served by students and consumed by students!! Whole of staff was invited to the Lunch.Afternoon saw the Tug-of-war Competition between teachers n students ...( A rope pulling exercise) Evening we had Teacher's DAy celebration in Audi.I want someone to give a good account of both of these events as i was unable to attend any of these due to unavoidable cirumstances.Point to note is people make these events happen in midst of Classes, Assignments and PPTs..Thats challenge and enjoyment.Rumours doing the rounds that our stay in IBA might be cut soon on account of earlier Placement season...

So folks...had a blast yesterday at freshers party...Dancing in a disc for almost 5 hours was physically tiring but so enjoyable....experience was quite awesome after 3 months of non stop classes n assignments..Almost everyone let their hair down... hopefully the farewell will exceed the fun of freshers...inbetween lot of parties r coming like onam...Navratri..new year...so fun never stops in IBA...

I dont see any reason why someone should discourage someone to hav conversation with anyone. BTW there is so much of mysticism ( It may not be the right word!!) and aura that surrounds Ck that one gets excited enough to know him better..i know its pure inquisitiveness...And why the hell someone should object to it??? Its perfectly ok...Personally the gyan u get just by talking to him is probably the incentive u get after showing the guts just to walk up and talk with him...Lot of people still hav cold feets talking to him...

Folks finally the celebration is coming...much awaited much discussed Freshers is tomoro...Lot of hoopla and hype....Some hope to get free alocohol some free Dates!!!! But apart from entry to the Dance floor and A Dinner nothing is free...Yesterday, at Cosmos meeting we had 20 people out of 140 members, day before yesterday Finance saw 4 people coming...Club activities hav taken least priority in everyone's scheme of things... Common excuse is People r out to the town...at every oppurtunity people go out to city..i guess this year 06-08 has lot of disposable income to splurge... I guess noone skipped the club meeting to shop for a dress to wear in freshers!!!People not coming for freshers hav different plans for tomoro and good luc to them as well...

Serenity seems to hav cast its spell here as evident from the posts here...Neways whats bugging me is that, this year the no of Guest Lectures has gone southwards. 2 to be very precise!!! last year we had no of Guest lectures some real good ones including Cadbury Chairman, But this year none..Thats strange...Hope in coming months we get to hav some Good Guest Lectures...


projects season is on and lots of projects r coming our way. 06-08 has got a gem of project by KSA..when they r only 1/24 th of an MBA. (i guess MBA is a 24 months course)For 05-07 lot of projects r coming , namely KSA, TCS,BI etc Lot of rants n cribs r heard and visible among those not selected for these projects. And rightly so bcoz when was the Notice for applying to these projects put up? Noone was conveyed neither informed? And now it is learned that they were shortlisted.. Good excuse to hide the strong sycophancy that exists in our placement cell. A group of sycophants form a coteire take the system for a ride ..thats amazing at this level..And now i understand why HR is such a difficult field to practice in!!!As i posted earlier... Why not put up a notice beforehand about the project?Why not put a brief on Project?Why not put up the criteria on noticeboard?WHy not put up the selected names on notice board?Why is it everything is done in the dark??? and at the last moment???Similarly for the Placements...Why not a list of companies? Expected date of visit? Expected Offer to be made? Job Profile to be offered? SO that we can make a informed decision but nothais will never happen bcoz Sycophancy..Ulterior motives rules the roost...

Hi Folks,its 2 weeks since we finished our 4 th Trim..but still No subjects has started in real earnest as of yet, barring only 1! we r clueless why subjects mentioned are not startng.? Is it for lack of Faculties or something else..This is the most Timepass session of our stay at IBA.. and its pathetic...ANd add to that they r changing some subjects without explaining why is it being changed??My frens at other Bschools hav by now got a Placement Schedule detailing which companies r coming, Job Profiles expected, and Past details of placements detailing Job profile, Package offered etc.. But IBA !!!! We r always clueless untill we sit for GDPI when we get to know which comapnies is it. We never get ample time to know who all are coming for placements, what r the jobs they r offering, Past detail of PAckage offered, job profile etc. Atleast Seniors were facing this problems...and we hope to experience the same... For some reasons Placement at IBA is something done cladenstinely..Natinal Security kind of thing...never ever transparent enough..Now a Million dollar question ( 650 rupees question to be precise) is something that is ringing in every 05-07's mind... ANd my view is we need to Uphold the tradition, be what it takes to do so...That answers the question....

Hi Folks,Today is a defining moment for us.. we were put under Real Test...oven for atleast 11 weeks and we came out (un)scathed ........ hurt, bleeding, smarting, whining, complaining but something to remember for life...something to forget...The rollercoaster ride of KM was memorable... Learning everything other than the subject...learning common sense...general nuissance of Management...Knowing 101 ways how u can go wrong...all these in marathon sessions of 7-8 hours for 11 weeeks was unforgetable..The saga continues....Guinea Pigs comes out more sagacious when pass through system... Last word from him," I am waiting for the next set of Guinea Pigs"....My last word...Experience with CK is a Phenomenon

Guys Soporific environment of Blore, Night-outs and taking bath in total unearthly hour of the morning is a punishment.. but thanks to Insti here water is a issue so that u can skip the trouble.. and when water comes its actually hot water from cold tap and no water in cold tap..every other day water becomes a issue and guys run amock in search of water.so much for a MBA Insti!!!!!Sitting without classes..as a Bench (HR Parlance) is horrible...it is heard that for many subjects Profs r not available so many a subjects are being cancelled this trim to be accomodated in the next trim..and having subject for which profs r available..only had 1 class in this trim since classes resumed 5 days ago!!!Life sucks!! i wish i had a PYT...

Hi Folks,i guess this post is more of whining... Club activities and Initiative shown by 0608 is not encouraging...Not attending sessions and even coming late to sessions just goes to show that indifference....I guess the club members put in their heart out..hours at end to organize things..Last heard Amit n Party had put around 14 hrs of work to make it to the IT club session!!!so atleast it make some sense to come and attend sessions...And i would prefer not to comment why there is so much indifference.....

Hi folks,Everybody rants about stress in IBA. Isn't it? PAcked schedule...Hours in class...But we r bored to death doing nothing since past 3 days.. we chose not to go on a trip for various reasons (That will be a separate thread)we thought of spending time in around Blore.. and since 2 days we r doing that and we bored to death...By god class days were rather good. we were busy and occupied this No-Work situation is absolutely boring especially for workaholic like us!!!!0608 guys were caught off guard by today's Mktg paper, ( My interaction with many). Mktg paper is always a Minefield. Negative marking is for given. SO be selective...Most guys r reading for sake of scoring in exams...thats a mistake. Read to understand the concepts... Marketing is such a vast subject and such a contextual subject that u cant hope to mug up and vomit it out in exams. Learn the funda's and apply it in Exam situation.Accounting paper was a shocker for many... Just a few words, dont panic dont get overwhelmed just bcoz commerce guys hav answered all questions.. Their confidence always take a U-Turn in Finance paper... Everything will be squared then ..just wait for next trim..Again know the basics and even u do poorly than commerce guys take it in ur stride and wait for next trim.Stats paper might give u shock in exam hall if u dont know the basics again.. Repetativley i am saying that work up ur basics... thats key...as u go along u will realize..And u will also realize that, the marks one secures slogging day in day out is more or less the marks one gets without slogging so much..provided he is streetsmart and selective in his approach.SMart work not hard work.

Hi Folks,Exam Bug has definitely bitten quite a few... I mean 06-08.. guys seem pretty serious and hardly seem to come out of their rooms...Hope they are studying inside their rooms...05-07 are enjoying the holidays... many of them are on sightseeing spree.. and mostly in groups..Hopefully all will be back by sunday for the KM ppt.we r the only few left in the campus...doing something fruitful... just kidding!!!Lull in the campus on account of absence of 0507 and exam tension of 0608 is really noticeable...So Best wishes to 0608...

Ya i always wonder why we slog at night 3 to complete one assignment????I think i will look in to why we run all over place at the 11 th hour to get the job done???
Procrastination..... We will not finish any work before hand but keep postponing it till last hour....
We waste lot of time in selecting the medium of search... That is for an assignment we go for Google... which could be easily got by a Book in Library... Because we fall back on Net for every small thing, we create a large redundant database and we dont which is relevent and which is not...
We waste lot of time discussing around the assignment.. Faculty want this and that...not the core issue bcoz we never hav objective before going for any assignment... when we r not clear what we want to do by this assignment...what to do....
While searching for material we focus on collateral issues not the main issues of assignment... For example if we r doing Environmental scanning of GE then lets say we r searching it on net and we come across a interesting fact about JAck Welch... we focus on finding out more on that issue... But fact is this is irrelevent to the assignment point of view.....
Doing an assignment means going to lab, sitting with group mates( Merrier if 2/3 gals are thrown in) , chatting on everything except Assignment.... i will write why i hate LAB First Floor in next post...
Group Assignment means no clear division of work...and role ambiguity and expecting others to do the work for u....So at the end....Assignments are never completed but at the 11th hour...And finally it is submitted S-I-T (VAriation of JIT).... Somehow In Time....But one thing is if u analyze we do complete 80% of our work in the last 20% of time we devoted to whole assignment....means if we took total 100 minutes for an assignment we complete 80% of it in the last 20 minutes just before submission!!!! *(80/20 Principle)AND that is possible not bcoz we r super brainy but a universal tool called CCP..If any award is given then its ours IAB flyin with it....[Cut Copy Paste: CCP]Aneways thats life here...otherthings in next post,

Common sense is be on safe side.. if there are 11 sessions min attendance is 8.8 classes. so u got to attend 8.8 classes rounded off to 9 classes. 11 sessions minus 2 Bunks makes it 9 sessions. SO u hav to attend 9 classes...By same logic 12 sessions turns out to be 10 min sessions to be on safe side..if there r 9 sessions then min sessions is 7.2 and 2 bunks ...there is a confusion..but thumb rule is choose to do 8 classes..bcoz thats common sense...Now being harassed...who chose to get harassed????CRDT members are officially allowed to miss classes provided they go in for CRDT work... But there is proper procedure, u write application to correct authority ( May be in IBA we hav 2/3 authorities for one post!!!) , get it approved, and submit to the right person.Incase of health problems, Health certificate has to be submitted and procedures hav to be followed..For ur kind information the list was having 73 names, then Admin considered the cases and reduced it to 34... then these 34 people were summoned to Admin for clarification.. People with genuine reasons were let off.. The scene was something of Union meeting in Kolkata ( Sorry, Leftist... No offence meant)...I am not against Genuine Reasons but on the pretext of false reasons u cant run away....Kindly check up Attendance Rule in IIMs, u will know where u stand...My ponit is u miss class for ur doings or mis-doings..and u pay the price..why make a issue out of it... I hav missed one attendance of Chandrakant bcoz i went to hav bun butter after 5 hrs at a stretch but could not return in stipulated 5 minutes break!! no question asked... I missed one EIA surprise quiz bcoz of similar cirumstances!!!I know many of us hav n no of instances and we hav lived with it... Never drawn others and created a scene.. And very good excuse of being not well and on duty ( This is ridiculous excuse but very effective one!!! )Maybe i can be accused of leaking sensitive Batch information... but i dare. Bcoz these Malaise exist in every batch and in times to come it will remain... Point here is beware of such situations and deal with it smartly....never fall pray to this nefarious designs of few villians... Hi Folks,I am flabbergatsed.... Know why????Rakshya Bandhan... ya for this ..There is a guy called B in IBA. He has 3 Sisters ya Blood-sisters... He never calls them to inquire about them.. If at all he calls them then only ask for money, these thing that thing. And they oblige very promptly bcoz B is their only Bro. They religiously love B and always pray well being of their Bro. Gentleman B is so engrossed in IBA hardly he remembers his sis..... Neways they hav sent the auspicious Rakhi very delicately packed in a pack for his bro... B has not cared to reciprocate with any gifts or even acknowledgement... Today morning he could hav called on his sis but he didnt bcoz he cared not to..Now the second part is B is very popular in IBA campus, particularly among gals... Not a casanova but a helping, always ready to help kind of guy..so in other words Bhaiya...Muh bola Bhaiya... His Bike is filled with oil for Nebody's emergency trip to city provided it is she... He will drop u to neplace..and so so forth...So he is so helping, cute and Bhaiya after all... Today is B's day...he has been tied rakhi by 3 gals in IBA apart from his 3 Blood sisters.. ( So still there is a dearth of Sis for him)... He has shopped yesterday evening all over place in Jayanagar for gifts and coughed up quite a sum... He forego his whole evening for studies and went because after all this is for his Sis in IBA. and dont forget he has exams tomoro.. ANd when i asked why dont u buy gifts for ur own sis he said he is running short of money other excuses....Apart from the gifts he also offered them Hard Cash tooo.... wow i wished i were a gal and i would hav saved this month's pocket money......Now my point is there is no cap in how many sis u make but the point is are u responsible to already existing sis???When u cant fulfill whatever duty u hav for them why go for more sis????Or is it a stop-gap arrangement????Or is it a FAD???Bro-Sis is it so cheap or easy that can be decided in 2days and made in 10 minutes???Or Bhaiya is a nice arrangement for Behena's for doing all sort of things, Nice Step-in...What is the Logic ???? i am clueless!!!!IBA has some very wierd fads and so much of pretensions.....Long Live Bhaiya Behena!!!!

Hi Folks,SO Exams are at our door steps knocking and giving us really hard time ( Although i remain rather cool during exams, may be thats bad as i take things bit easy) ... End Term are starting from 10 and will be over by 14 th. Each day 2 papers..Already guys are planning how to make use of the 4 days that we will be having ( Very Unusual.. we never got holidays before!!!) as break... some trip to Goa, some Ootty some Mysore etc....I am pretty undecided at this juncture as i hav couple of Novels to finish, A Site to be put up and so on... And a pub to explore....YA talking of CGPA...some guys sorry some gals are in that hallowed list of Top CGPA >9... compared to us measely 6 or 7.... I personally dont believe in igh CGPA bcoz of couple of reasons...
High CGPA implies u r bookworm which i always try to put forward as i am not...
High CGPA increases the benchmark and expectation of the interviewer during interview, so u have the burden of meeing them or u let him down.
High CGPA means u r good in every subject and so there is no particular subject which u can project as ur core competency subject. So better hav average CGPA and project one or two suject ( Marketing and IT in my case) as ur core subject.
Companies never look for CGPA but good concepts and ability to relate to the practical world with those concepts. So CGPA of 6 or so i guess is pretty decent and ability to face the world with that is better bet.
IBA history says that >8 CGPA always find it tough to get placed... ( MAy be they is mismatch between company and their benchmark!!!)Hey guys above arguments r my point of view and i bet they r great excuse for not getting good CGPA and avoid studying!!!!First year is more of Bookish knowledge whereas second year is more of Practical aspects... Most subjects in second year dont hav book, neither slides to refer...and i like those subject full of case studies, own research and presentations, own learning of the concepts (bcoz i fared better in this case compard to theoretical subjects in first year)...AFter our exams Juniors are having their Mid term so i rather tell thm not to buy my point instead start studying and aspire to get maximum CGPA in his first trimester... bcoz 1st trm is the onl time when u can sore heavily without much of trouble(relatively easy subjects and easy mugging up!!!)..after this trim u really hav to slogg...ompetition will increase..Datadepot is down since 6 days...i donno when it will be back working...IBA Server reminds of something called Rogue Server... it was there some reasons but instead do somethig else.. Download songs, Orut, Chatting and what not!!!

People here love hanging around at Gowda rather in Library… By the way Library is like sanctum sanctorum…. Not bcoz u pay 500 bucks for making noise but it is always deserted!!!As I have wrote here, this thread is for MBA aspirants who dream to be in IIM but eventually find themselves in IBA.. This thread is all about True Mirror of the happenings here, Inside story as they call it, So that they can take a informed decision.. ( Susobhan has pointed this out). But I get lot of threatening as to why I am tarnishing IBA’s image ..AM I???? Culprit goes a begging but one who get it caught is punished…hope u get the message. As long as I am here I will account every detail , my experience here in IBA honestly… may be I make some foe in process…Susobhan, I can appeal others to share their experience but cannt write for them..i wish I could…I have been suggesting in way pestering others to write in this thread but no one seem interested…. So lets analyze why???People here don’t like to write…. When they can speak so well why the hell write..That’s bcoz writing is time consuming and its difficult putting in words what u feel.Orkut gives u a direct connection or podium where u can establish a interacting relationship with others which is absent in PG… Hopefully this is a hint t PG to redesign their offerings!!!And most people r in orkut to build friendship and hopefully with opposite sex. And Ladies r few in numbers in PG… If u compare students of some top rung Bschools with IBA the striking difference is Mental make up… There people hav some agenda and objective. Everything that they do hav some Value addition for which they pursue the act, But here people do what they are doing is bcoz they hav to do it. Somewhere before I stated people here are smart.. but no one real intelligent… This might be a belligerent statement but this is reality.. I havn’t come across a analytical mortal here. Cut Copy Paste rules the roost… Study is a good time pass and when the whole learning process is so loose how one can expect that they will hav motivation to share xperiences… difficult task cut out.. isn’t it.. Is it rocket science then that Companies come here to offer Sales job where as IIM’s get the Consultancy job.Moreover people here are so Relationship oriented, no one is really career oriented.. yes its again a hard statement to make but it’s a reality. We just want to finish off 2 years and get through placements.. what is the difference that we r making here in these 2 years???? We want to hav a fling, so called couples here are visible all over the campus… One who doesn’t hav a arm-candy feels dejected… People who know nothing of relationship hav arm-candies to show off… So IBA is good place to scout partners rather than some serious soul searching as to where u want to take our career…So how will these people find time to jot down their experiences which might benefit others????Anyways all these observations are my opinion and doesn’t essentially directed towards someone. Everyone is right in what he is doing. He is the commander of his ship. I cant comment whether he is right or not. ( I am knowingly using HE bcoz I know ladies don’t come to this forum at least in IBA). After all IIM’s are IIM’s not any other Institute!!!Culture that they hav isn’t built over night but it comes with the mindset that those people carry there. I don’t expect that that will happen overnight here, but if we want we can hav it here. Hi Folks,Network is down since yesterday night and life at IBA has come to a grinding halt....Assignments, Presentations, Online Exams Scheduled for today took a sever beating and bY grace of god Online exam was postponed...I dont know how SCM guys prepared their PPT's without Google??? Google is Lifeline here and i cant see life after Google...Campus is abuzz with rumours...Somebody dying , someone being hospitalized so on so forth....Well for long our Sys Admin had a field day doing only Configuring Laptops, but now he is having a very tough time dealing with the present crisis.. There seems to be a Conflict between IP Address in the netwotk.. That is bcoz of some nerd claiming to be next to Bill Gates..He is beating his chest bcoz he has spoofed network by assigning a static IP address (Non IT guys plz excuse me for this Nerdic Language..) against IBA's Internet Policy.. But his action had strong repercussion as evident by now that Network is completely knocked out.. Lets c what will our Sys Admin do to get things in control....This is the first major crisis of Systems in IBA and we r pleased or dis pleased to experience it...No Class scheduled to day so i will better catch some sleep now bcoz gotta attend cosmos in evening then BI ppt is staring to be completed as quickly possible...

Hi Folks,Bad news is i am putting weight and good news is i will lose weight..Today morning i was rushing for a ppt when i discovered no Trousers is fitting in but somehow i managed to put on a Tight Trouser and run for life... This is despite the Pathetic food in mess... There is a Gym near KK Cross and it cost only 275 bucks per month. That Gym is on my radar...gotta join it soon...Today i overheard 2 juniors arguing about who is better off?? Incampus Guys (IG) or LPG??For the uninitiated LPG means Laxmipua Paying Guest, situated at a stone's throw from IBA main campus. It houses those guys who could not find place in Incampus hostel bcoz it was filled. May be bcoz LPG guys paid their fees late...yes IBA runs on First come first serve with Money on all matters (Sounds mercenary!!!) so guys dont repeat the same mistake when u opt for single occupancy during second year...Ok who is having a ball??? IG or LPG???LETS FIND OUT:IG can get up at 8.59 AM and reach CP class at dot 9 before he makes a moron out of himself without brushing his teeth...but LPG cant do that . They hav to fore go 5 minutes of his precious sleep in order to be in time.IG can get any notice from Faculty or Admin first whereas LPG gets later.IG has Wifi facility LPG dont hav. God Knows WiFi is extensiuvely used for what....Orkut, Messenger, Song download, Mail, Cards etc not in any order... LPG has to slogg here in campus till dawn...thats pathetic but intelligent guys use this oppurtunity to bulid their chances with the fairer sex on the pretext of Meeting for ppt and assignments etc.IG can catch his lost sleep in between 2 classes ( Lets say there is a break for 1 hour). But LPG cant go back and sleep in his room and come back...So wisdom says LPG should make one Best Friend with an IG and utilize his room for taking a siesta...Moreover he can pass u any urgent info or notice etc.IG had the luxury from being screwed by seniors during sessions. But the bad effect is all too visibile by the swagger shown by LPG...so throwing caution to the wind i must add senior r thinking of doing something...LPG on other hand has the liberty to go city and return at 3 in the morning. No questions asked..LPG can booze , party as on when wished. (The Pics of First party on roof top was amazing.isn't it???)No seniors to run on ur nerves in LPG.LPG can ask his frens to come and stay with him without the Admin knowing a shit...Poor LPG has to clean his own toilets and thats bad.News paper is unreachable i guess...Above all one thing that is striking is LPG guys hav a special bond and camaderie bcoz they r away and separate and Minority....Use it judiciously and extract mileage out of this from Admin, Security, Seniors, Faculty whoever.. You hav lot of leeway and u should know how to utilise but all this is not bcoz i was a RPG last year but most of my close buddies were in RPG last year and i had lot of fun with them and continue to do so....Good sign juniors are coming forward to write up....but DO we need Reservations for Women here???I can call Arjun Singh... or someone will take the lead to script her feelings...

But i love the loud decibel sounds and Techno beats, Bass quakes... its the ultimate salvation. It is used for guests lecture etc. But i hav seen Audi of different colleges and we suck!!! Thats the reason every other function has to be done outside (Plenty of space in IBA campus) inside a Shamiana...First year introduction sesssion to Graduation ceremony is done under a shamiana...what i dont understand is why not a build a big Audi which can be used to host all these functions.. Moreover imp guest lecture (Like when chairman of DAbur came calling last year) can be host without hassles. That day we had to fight for a Inch of place in T1 Audi to rest our backs... that gentleman must hav thought how eager this crowd is.. they r simply fighting to be there and listen to me..... Sorry sir the only reason we were there was a Pricey Fine of 500 rupees for not attaining that lecture!!!Another factor is MAnagement Fest.. IBA has always come champs at many events in and around Blore. Thats a very good achievement but why can't we host a Fest ourselves???That would be a real Brand Bulding exercise. IBA is conspicuous in hosting a Fest in Fest circuit although offset that winning medals... May be A big Audi of 1000 capacity is imperative in order to host any fest. lets c....and i am getting real pissed off by the food in mess. everytime i cant move to Vaishnovi..its so costly and thing is why the hell should i go when i hav paid 18000 a year for mess. ANyways i make it up by regulary having Kauwa Kabab at Ranga.....We r in IBA for 9 months a year so the mess charge we pay per day is Rs 66A break fast, lunch , dinner and a tea cost Rs 60 at Shanti sagar for a day.Is it not possible to offer a better deal...Rafique????Hope Young Guns who hav just joined IBA can take lead and fight it out...we r old and tired, so excuse us....

Hi Folks,,Roy said it very rite...I dont understand this funda of class at 7 am. i can understand class at 2 AM..i am OK with that. IBA for 2 yr mortals has more of Visiting Profs.lets say for IT Spec we have 9 Paper in 4th Trim and 1 out of that is Permanent Prof(PP). Rest are all Visiting Prof(VP). we can understand the time constraints of VP so our schedule can be made to fit his schedule. But why on earth PP takes class at unearthly hour (Even by Graduation college standards!!) is a serious matter. when he is in campus through out the day , why are we forced to attend his lecture at this unconvenient time..But Folks thats IBA.... Lemme sketch out a typical IBAian's Day...Leave the sack at 8 AMBrowse news paper till 8.30Breakfast by 8.55class at 9 ( typical 3 hrs session with 10 minutes break after first half)lunch at 12.30 to 1.30second class at 2tea (sorry water with tea smell...) at 5time for oneself till 9 pmdinner at 9then group work till 12asignmenthit the sack at 2 or 2.30 AMBut above is an ideal situation... Constraints that pop up are somedaywe hav more than 3 lectureslectures can stretch upto 6 hrs ( Quite often)We have Club work to do.Any given day presentation is dueAny given day Assignment is dueThen there is corporate lectures etcVisiting Faculties often come early in the morning i.e 7 am slot or late evening slot i.e after 5 PM.last but not the list we hav personal probs to sort out (More acute for committed mortals)...So there is no Acclimitisation with IBA schedule as it keeps changing. our Biological clock is set to new timings everyday. But this is life and as a Fledgling B School we can expect this.

Hi folks,,,Had a Party last nite... booze and lot of scene... taps bday bash....No class scheduled so was sleeping till 9 but empty stomach and Sunday Breakfast prevailed and had to get up then. Sat to crack SMBP case but got a bomb when the Prof summoned to rush to class as scheduled class was preponed to 10.30AM.Had plenty of boring lectures added to the hangover was a lacklusture day. And evening and night is packed with case study prep. Tomoro 7 AM two case study ppt to make And added bomb is Prof has added new dimension to the case study analysis...engaged in solving it..Took a break to walk down the lane of PG.

Hi Folks,,PG Bug is yet to attack Ibaians...as evident from the poor response to this thread...Come on Guys ..Buck up!!! Pen ur thoughts....Noise and Chaos has increased in CAmpus since past couple of days as 06-08 hav joined ( Our Juniors, we feel like holding absolute authority to torment them!!)...Many guys think of screwing them with interaction session ( Windows version of Ragging...), Giving them Assignments in order to break their Attitude ( we r afraid of their credentials and experience i guess!!)..Most of Guys out here in 05-07 hav started giving Gyan as to how hectic and tough their schedule is and how relatively easy 06-08 is having. It seems they r having very easy and we had very tough time. these guys are chipping in with their all type of suggetion as to what to read and what not to read, which specialisation to take and which not to take...( They forget they are on the line as far as their own CGPA is concerned)And yes Club activities hav picked up... Frantic promotions r on campus... 06-08 are obviously confused... Marketing came like Big Bang and hopefully will go like same... HR was no less and had a huge impact... IT was big daddy in promising a ocean..lets c.. Cosmos was very innovative in its promotions and applied a Strategy of Expert Opinion in its campaign which i feel is more effective...Neways they hav a good track record of delivering what they promise... well other clubs i am clue less about.. But one thing for sure these clubs hav become more of Strength show and Power play ( Who said Power play is only seen in Politics ). Lot of Politics and lobbying takes place to be in that hallowed list of GC members of a club.. and so on so forth.....Ok now about that Interaction session, some guys feel it is sheer waste of time and rather do something else... good for them..some simply ( Like me) enjoy bcoz i like knowing diff people, their hobbies , their strentghs , their weakness. And believe me We r very poor in Self-Knowledge... when asked to introduce to a group we flounder, cant even list out our USP's... From Juniors's perspective these type of session has some positives:
Learn to face Hostile crowd
Ability to speak
Ability to understand oneself better
Ability to sell oneself to others
Presence of mindMore over these type of session gives oppurtunity to bond with fellow batch mates... See when people are faced with threats, or pressure they form bonding to ward off that threat. its a simple human tendency... ( Remember the Kargil war and how Nation stood beside the Army).. So when all juniors are to be screwed by seniors they form special bonding and that it self is good to form good relationship. Bcoz when new to a place with new people u r handicap and only solution is to form group and act together...ha ha team dynamics....More over MBA interaction session is very different from that of Engg ragging. we r matured!!! Here we want to test ur grey cells... No nacch Gana!! but show us how u r different from the crowd and we respect u.... Hav a Core competency and we r done.. So spirit of interaction has to be understood and taken in same way. And by the same coin u also come to know about us which in turn might help u in future...I therefore reccomend from next time lets make the interaction session more official by having a stress Interview for all freshers by seniors duly approved by Admin. let the introdution be done by seniors for 2 days. A host of activities can be planned for freshers. Stress Interview, Public Speaking session and Presentation session. Lets make it more formal event. We can plan it though as it is simply an idea at this stage. It is at any time better than so called Nacch Gana stuff....Ok, enough hav to crack a SMBP Case study now....

And dont forget to thank me to start the page....This is my 2nd year at IBA and i enjoy every moment of it...The Scenery , Greenery( Natural / Unnatural!!) here is amazing... Whole campus looks like Resort!!! and its so envigorating....ya so condusive to study.... but eventually helps love birds to blossom....Like any other B-School , Asssignments and Presentations keeps us awake till dawn but Mess food sucks and its very painful burning mid night oil and costly too... The Grocery shop run by someone called Ranga is a classic example of Monopoly....ANd he virtually loots us...And whats IBA without Chandrakant????? Blogging is my new found interest, although i always used to jot down my thoughts, be it my diary or small notepads! I think i am good at writing compared to speaking! I have a dream to to write for TOI Editorial some day!! Like swaminomics...

Writing helps me articulate my opinion and i want to be someone who has a view on evry topic in this world, be it CTBT, or Reservation , or Branding!!!

Hopefully from now on My writings become a mirror where i can judge myself...
